Pet pouches · treats, chews and food
Custom pet treat pouches: one recipe, one design, the same bag.
Request a pet pouch proposalTreat and chew brands grow by recipe: chicken, beef, dental, functional. Digital printing gives each recipe its own front without plates and keeps the same resealable pouch. This page organizes what a pet brand decides before requesting a proposal: format, size, barrier, strength and label space.

Six decisions before you quote a pet pouch
Treats carry fat, aroma and sometimes moisture: the pouch is chosen for that.
- 01
Format
Stand-up with zipper from 100 g to 500 g for treats and chews; flat-bottom with zipper for 1 kg to 1.5 kg of food or bulk treats; three-side seal for single portions or samples. A hang hole helps in pet stores that use hooks.
- 02
Size per pack
Define the fill weight per recipe and ask for a reference size for each. Dehydrated treats take little volume; biscuits and puffed treats, a lot. Fill samples before fixing dimensions.
- 03
Barrier for fat and aroma
Fatty treats go rancid with oxygen and light, and their aroma passes through films without a barrier. Metallised or aluminium structures protect best; clear high-barrier films show the product. If the treat is moist or semi-moist, moisture and shelf life lead the choice.
- 04
Strength
Kibble and hard chews can puncture a thin film. Ask for a puncture-resistant structure and test seals with the real product, especially in flat-bottom bags of 1 kg or more.
- 05
Closure and daily use
The zipper is opened and closed every day; it should be good quality and well aligned. A tear notch above the zipper keeps customers from damaging the closure when they open the bag.
- 06
Label and per-recipe design
Mandatory information for pet food and treats comes from each country's animal-feed rules, separate from human-food labelling; confirm with your advisor what the bag must carry. With digital printing, each recipe can have its own portrait, color and name within the same order.
Reference pet formats
A starting point by product type; printed pouches compete on shelf mostly in the 1 to 1.5 kg and treat sizes.
| Format | Used for | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Stand-up with zipper, 100 to 250 g | Training treats, dental chews, large samples | Zipper and notch; optional hang hole |
| Stand-up with zipper, 300 to 500 g | Family-size treats and chews | Barrier for fat and aroma; check the filled pouch stands |
| Flat-bottom with zipper, 1 to 1.5 kg | Premium dry food and bulk treats | Puncture resistance and stability; optional handle |
| Three-side seal, 20 to 60 g | Single portions and samples | One main face; a way to test recipes with little inventory |
What we will not assume
We do not publish a universal minimum, price or turnaround. Size, barrier, strength, zipper, number of recipes and production availability change the proposal. Label and registration requirements for pet food are confirmed with your regulatory advisor; we check that the artwork reserves the space.

Questions pet brands ask
Can each recipe have a different pouch design?
Yes: with digital printing each recipe changes artwork without plates. To share production the recipes must match in size, structure and closure; tell us how many pouches you want of each.
Which pouch keeps treats from going rancid?
A structure with an oxygen and light barrier, usually metallised or aluminium, with good seals. Clear windows are avoided on fatty products. The structure is confirmed with your product.
Will the bag hold hard kibble?
It depends on the film and thickness. Ask for a puncture-resistant structure and test filling and transit with the real product, especially at 1 kg or more.
What must the label carry?
Pet food and treat regulation differs from human-food rules and changes by country. Confirm it with your regulatory advisor; we check that the design reserves the space and that the barcode is readable.
Does it work for online sales?
A stand-up pouch with zipper travels well and photographs well. Define the weight per pack with shipping cost and arrival condition in mind; the format is validated with filled samples.
How many pouches can I order?
It depends on the format, the structure and available production. Tell us your target quantity per recipe and we review it instead of promising a generic minimum.
Tell us what you are packing.
We turn the product, quantity per design and open questions into a reviewed proposal, not an automatic price that ignores the specification.
